Robin Launches a new Book

Tuesday, 3 June 2008

Robin's second fiction book, THE MYSTERY OF THE MISSING MASTERPIECE (a new Cornelia Finnigan Mystery) was launched at the luxurious and very appropriate Leonard Room at Joel Australia, South Yarra on 20 May. The book, a further wacky PI adventure by improbable investigator Cornelia Finnigan, will be available in stores from 1 June, much to the relief of early fans of Cornelia's first case, The Curse of the Golden Yo Yo, who thought she'd met her demise under the wheels of a car driven by an L Plate novice nun.

The book takes Cornelia and her pals into dangerous territory, seeking the owners of a beautiful Tang Dynasty porcelain horse, while they, in turn, hunt her, with murderous intentions. So Joel Australia's Fine Arts premises was an ideal location for the 100 people who turned up to wish Robin and Cornelia big success. Sally Browne, fashionista extraordinaire, said a few kind words in launching the book and in reply Robin noted the dedication to her friend, Adele Palmer, who has been responsible for many good things in Robin's life and recognised the help of so many who bring a book from the kernel  of an idea to the launch event.

The Mystery of the Missing Masterpiece (Five Mile Press $24.95) is available from bookstores or signed from Robin's website. If you'd like an invitation to the launch of Robin's next book in Melbourne, register on the Contact Us page to go on the list. All welcome.
